These reflective gems
Tried hiding once again
Scampering, scampering
He crawls through the caves
Unaware of the beauty in the night

He’s swimming in breathless wind
A colorless brilliance tugging at his soul

The detective worries for his clues
But this mystery is everywhere

Fool of fools, he’s fooled himself again
What to do but laugh for the world of the mirrors
They would bend him
Shape him
Co-create him

Fighting the fight in him
Was the hardest battle never won
Lighting the light in him
Was the biggest challenge never done

“Become completely uncompleted”
He had written on his grave
And with a scratch of the head
What to to do but look the other way

This babbles just babble
Like the babbling brook
But someone forgot to tell the river
To stop flowing
Someone forgot to tell the child
To stop growing
And so he never stopped

Met frogs in his dreams
And slept with houses in the sea
Tasted oceans in his tears
Felt cloudy in his soul
But like the night
Always turned into day

“You’ll never stop me!” he cried
And death agreed for even as he died
With dust back to dust
We’re left to wonder
Where this all came from?
What gave the first birth
What is stirring in our hearts
What is shining in this awful cave?

All the boy could say was
There is something there
If there is a nothing
Then there’s a something

But how can that make sense?

Left to wander along and dwell itself
The million stars keep blinding
And infinity keeps winding and unwinding

  1. Excellent! I love this. It epitomizes the idea of the fool, the genius. I like your wordplay.
